On pre-event packet pickup night at The Proper Brewing Company, Pancreatic Cancer Cure Foundation (PCCF) honored The Proper Brewing Company for their continued support for Amy’s Ride/Run/Walk Against Pancreatic Cancer by presenting co-owner Kris Wilson with a plaque of appreciation.
We were excited to present Kris with this small token of our appreciation for their support, promotion, and donations to Amy’s Ride/Run/Walk over the years. Since 2017, their team has contributed over $8,000 in donations to Amy’s Ride/Run/Walk. Each year they allow us to use their location for our advance packet pick-ups the night before the event. In 2019 they fielded the largest team of 64 people! THEIR ENTIRE STAFF PARTICIPATED and wore special shirts while working later that same day! Every year they put together one of the largest teams, often going head-to-head with The Swain Sprinters for the largest team.
If you missed it this year, make a mental note to show up next year – Pre-event packet pickup night is an excuse to come out to Quakertown, enjoy a great meal with exceptional brews, meet some of our loyal event volunteers, and sign in for the event ahead of time (or register if you didn’t already), and have just plain have a great time! Amy’s Ride/Run/Walk organizers and volunteers are largely comprised of Quakertown natives and community supporters. The Cygan family who initially created the event are from Quakertown themselves and Amy’s Ride/Run/Walk has many ties to the community. The combination makes for a reunion of sorts for everyone! We highly recommend you skip the sign-in/packet pickup line on event day and come to The Proper the night before the event. It’s a blast!

The Proper Brewing Company located in the historic Palace Theater in downtown Quakertown just celebrated its 6th year in business last November. Owners Kris and Brian Wilson have been avid community supporters of many groups and causes over the years. Join them for Fiesta Tuesday night or for their monthly themed trivia!
