A Milestone Year
Thanks for Being A Part of our 2026 Event
We’re still reeling in excitement from Saturday’s amazing energy. Mother Nature cooperated and despite a little heat, we had a beautiful day! This year was a milestone year for us, with 556 participants registered!
Over $70,000 was raised from registrations, donations, sponsorships, team fundraisers, and the raffle fundraiser – but donations are still rolling in! 100% of donations go directly to aid pancreatic cancer research and patient programs.
We want to thank our many sponsors, volunteers, and donors – without whom none of this would be possible! Make sure you read our full recap to hear our teams’ stories, show support for our sponsors, applaud our top runners, and congratulate our top team fundraisers and top individual fundraisers.
Swain Sprinters had a record-breaking 122 members this year! In second was Fres-co Flex Force at 24 members and in third Team Diane at 23 members! Honorable mention are Linda’s Bright Stars, Never Give Up!, Strayer Track Team, Ctrl+Alt+Pedal, Sandy’s Angels, Fox Chase Cancer Center, Deb’s Warriors and The Callie Crew to name a few.

Special Remarks
This year we were honored to have Deb’s Warriors team captain, Kelly Waber, share a few pre-event remarks.
Kelly Waber
Good Morning Everyone,
My name is Kelly Waber, team captain of Deb’s Warriors. First, on behalf of my family and our team, I want to sincerely thank Amy’s Ride/Run/Walk for bringing us together today. We look forward to this event every single year, and it is our 5th year walking in this event to honor loved ones, raise awareness, and support the fight against pancreatic cancer.
Today, my team, walks in memory of my mother, Debra Lynn Greenwood. She was diagnosed with advanced stage pancreatic cancer in October of 2015 and gained her angel wings on September 2nd, 2016, after an incredibly brave battle. She was only 59.
My mom was a loving nurse who worked as a Patient Care Specialist at the Lehigh Valley Emergency Department at Cedar Crest campus. She dedicated her life to helping others and led with compassion, kindness, and love in everything she did. Even during her illness, she continued to put others before herself. She adored her grandson Nicholas, who was only two months old when she passed, and although she never had the chance to meet her granddaughter Haley, we know she would have loved her beyond words. We believe she continues to watch over her grandbabies as their guardian angel, and we carry her love with us every day.
If there is one thing you take away from today, let it be this: listen to your body, pay attention when something feels off, and keep up with your preventative check-ups. Early action can save lives. You are your biggest advocate.
Today, we walk for my mom, for those we have lost, for those still fighting, and for the hope that one day no family has to face the heartbreak of pancreatic cancer ever again.
Thank you all for being here with us today!
Team Stories
We are privileged to share with you a few deeply moving stories from our teams. These personal narratives encompass both the hope and heartache that pancreatic cancer brings, reminding us of the urgent need to support research and enhance the future for those affected by this disease. From stories of resilience and triumph to heartfelt reflections on loss, these accounts serve as a poignant reminder of why our collective efforts are so crucial.
By bravely sharing their experiences, our teams inspire us to renew our commitment and join together in the fight against pancreatic cancer, with the ultimate goal of preventing it from claiming lives prematurely in the future.
We had many teams returning this year who shared their stories last year. Please take a look at their stories on our Team Page
Linda's Bright Stars
Team Linda’s Bright Stars was founded in memory of Linda Thomas, an amazing woman, wife, mother of 6, and grandmother of 9. Linda was an avid baker and lover of music. She grew up in a musical household and always had a song or saying to brighten the day of anyone she met.
She was dedicated to her church, her friends, and her family. Not a single day goes by that she isn’t in our thoughts and missed more than words can express. Linda was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic cancer in December 2022 and gained her angel wings on March 14, 2023. She was 72 years young. Team Linda’s Bright Stars is made up of her children, grandchildren,
husband, and close friends. We walk for Linda and all those fighting pancreatic cancer. Though her cancer journey was short, she fought until the end and we walk to help others do the same and one day find a cure.
Never Give UP!
Our team, “Never Give Up!,” walks in support of our mother, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in the summer of 2023. Since beginning her battle, she has endured many difficult rounds of chemotherapy and radiation, yet she has always maintained a positive attitude and a strong belief that she would overcome the odds. Her “never give up” spirit continues to inspire all of us every day. Our team, including our mom, walks in support of her and all the families impacted by pancreatic cancer.
— 💜 Dana & Corina
